The Peach Drop in Atlanta, New Year’s Eve 2024
The Peach Drop returns to Underground Atlanta on New Year's Eve 2024, marking its comeback after a hiatus. This iconic Southeast celebration, which began in 1989, attracts over 50,000 people annually. The free event features a massive 800-pound peach descending a 138-foot tower at midnight, inspired by New York's Times Square ball drop. Funded by a $650,000 agreement with Live Nation Entertainment, the celebration includes live concerts starting at 7:00 PM. Located at 50 Upper Alabama Street, the event offers free entry and recommends using MARTA for transportation, with free parking at several rail stations. Gates open at 6:00 PM, promising a festive night of music and celebration.
