Mentor Me North Georgia - Lighting of the Cumming Water Tower in brand colors, 6:00 pm. (Cumming)

January is “Mentor Me North Georgia Month” in Forsyth County

January is National Mentoring Month in the United States. In honor of the work done in Forsyth County and other parts of North Georgia by local organization, Mentor Me North Georgia, Cumming Mayor Troy Brumbalow has declared it to be Mentor Me North Georgia Month in Forsyth County.

Mentor Me North Georgia is a nonprofit organization serving children and youth aged 6-17 in Forsyth County since 2002. They match approved volunteers with young people to provide mentorship, support, and guidance. Mentors spend a few hours monthly engaging in shared interests and activities, fostering friendship and confidence. The program offers flexible scheduling to accommodate both mentors and mentees.

To celebrate their hard work and dedication, the city of Cumming will be lighting up the Cumming water tower with Mentor Me’s brand colors, purple and green. You’re invited to Mentor Me North Georgia's "Cumming Home Tower Lighting" party to be held at the Cumming Park and Ride on Deputy Bill Cantrell Memorial Road at 6:00 pm on January 13th.
